Despite a pretty grim week weather wise, the carp fishing at Bury Hill remained exceptionally good with a further 3 thirties reported again this week, one from the Old Lake and two from Temple Lake together with plenty of twenties. Grabbing a quick night on Temple yesterday, Duncan Ansell was the lucky angler to bag a brace of thirties. Fishing peg 6, Duncan fished an 18mm Mainline Fusion boilie to the island margins to catch a 30lb 1oz Linear which is a new thirty and a 30lb 10oz Ghost, which incidentally is the second Ghost to top thirty pounds. Keith Twine (pictured) was the other lucky angler to catch a thirty and a new PB, this time a pretty mirror weighing 31lb 8oz from the Old Lake. With a lot of big fish coming from the top lily bay, Keith decided to fish one of the spillway swims fishing a homemade boilie to the open water behind the lilies. |
