The mesh on these new nets is quite fine, which might lead to problems if you’re trying to use them in a strong river current, but then what nets don’t you have trouble with in a strong current? I have the 24″ version and it handles carp up to 10lbs easily, but I would suggest if you want one for barbel, go for the 30″ and pray that you fill it! It will give a barbel a little lot more room to manoeuvre around when you’re resting them. The net itself is very deep by comparison to many nets and it seems extremely soft and fish friendly. The ‘D’ section aluminium is exceedingly strong, I know because my Fox Predator net is made of the same stuff and that has held some pretty big fish in it in the past. So far, I’ve landed a few nice carp and bream to just under ten pounds and this net is perfect. If you are targeting bigger fish over ten pounds go for the larger 30 inch version of the net, you will not be disappointed. Rating: 8/10 |
