Specialist angler Phil Smith set his stall for crucians on Summer Pit, scene of some big crucial catches in recent months and came up with the goods following a slow start when he landed three stunning fish of 2lb 14oz, 3lb and a new personal best fish of 3lb 10oz.
Phil offered bread flake on float tackle and fished over a bed of trout pellets.
