In comes Del Smith, hot on the heels of Colin ‘Gaylord’ Nash smashing the British grass carp record with a Horton fish of 36lb 9oz.
Head Bailiff and grass carp expert Del Smith banked this beauty of 32lb 12oz. The fish is a different one to the record and sets a new personal best for Del. It is the third largest grass carp ever caught.

Floater expert Del fished a Chum Mixer off the pontoon on a size 8 Fox Series 2 hook to a 5ft long 6lb Daiwa Sensor hook length and 8lb Sensor mainline with a 5g ESP controller float.
Del’s rod was a 12ft 2 1/4lb soft actioned Tony Parker Arbitrator model, specially designed by Del for floater fishing and the fish was banked after a short fight under the rod top.
