This two rod range has been in development for two years, but sofar it looks like they’ve been well worth waiting for.
The two rods in this range are 12ft, 2lb 9oz TC and 12ft 9ins, 3lb4oz TC. We received the 12ft, 2lb 9oz one for review.
Designed by top carp angler Terry Hearn the attention to detailis, as you would expect, second to none.
- The blank is ultra slim high modulus carbon with high strength overwrap.
- The handle is full Duplon rather than the usual abbreviated version and has titanium fittings.
- Reel seat is a Fuji DPS 18.
- There are five full Fuji SIC rings, plus the tip ring.
- A unique ESP line clip is fitted to the butt.
The rod has a powerful parabolic action that will tame 40lb-pluscarp in weedy venues as well as the more common double-figure fishthat most of us are more likely to encounter. Terry has used the rodto catch carp to 48lbs and favours this lighter model in the rangefor all his close to medium range work using leads of 21/2 to31/2 oz. Although, it is claimed, the rod will cast well in excessof 100yds.
A hefty price but one hell of a rod.
