HARDWICK LAKE

Dave Will has just reported a brace of twenties from the water. A common carp of 20.04 and a mirror of 25.12. Successful method was Grange fished over particle and pellet.

ST. JOHNS LAKE

The lake is fishing extremely well!

Richard Kane’s boilie was picked up by one of the waters big cats. The fish tipped the scales at spot-on 40lb.

Darren Allen of Retford Notts is amongst the carp with a common of 17lb, 18lb mirror, 18.02 common, 20lb fully scaled, 22lb mirror and a 24.08 common. And probably more to come!

Mark Matthews from Staffordshire caught five doubles and a 31.04 mirror.

On his first visit, Stephen Vallance from Essex, has landed a common of 31.04, 28.03 mirror and 27lb mirror. The fish fell to Nash Shellfish Sense Appeal boilies.

Mike Watkins from Somerset caught a 30.08 mirror on Trigga boilies.

HUNTS CORNER LAKE

Stephen House from Buckingham caught a 27.12 mirror on Formulae One boilies and Richard French from Bicester netted four fish to 21lb.

Fishing well for small carp – waggler and pole best methods with maggot, sweetcorn and trout pellets.

THE WATER WILL BE CLOSED FOR MATCHES ON SATURDAY 11th andSUNDAY 26th of AUGUST – THIS WILL NOT EFFECT HUNTS CORNER LAKE.

GENERAL

Fish are showing well on Hardwick and Smiths Pool and also on the Float Lake. But with no anglers on the water for the last few days there are no catches to report.
