Stewart Bloor
The Reverend Stewart Bloor, perhaps better known as Sedge in the pages of FISHINGmagic, is an ordained Minister and Director of the Sedgley International Christian Ministries.

He is also a very keen angler, having come back to the sport in 1995 following a break of several years. In this regular column he will tell us about his progress as an angler – his thoughts about the sport, what he learns, the fishing trips he makes, the anguish, the humour, in fact everything he experiences as his angling career develops.

Pilgrim’s Progress – read it everyThursday!

Mr And Mrs

If you’re of a certain age (like me) I’m sure you can remember theTV gameshow called Mr and Mrs. It was basically a show where eachpartner, in turn, was asked a number of questions about the otherwhile their spouse was locked away out of ear-shot. After thequestions had been answered, the captive was then released to see howwell (or not) their partners had done in guessing what theirpreferences would be, given a choice of answers.

Debby hard at work answering her questions

Well, I was intrigued to see how my good wife, Mrs Sedge, otherwise known to the outside world as Debby, would fare. Only, Ididn’t have in mind questions such as ‘What does your husband preferfor breakfast? Is it a) toast…b) Cornflakes…c) Shredded wheat.’ Oh no, I had much more important things in mind. As a good wifeshould, and indeed ought to (only teasing, if there are any feministsout there. Don’t burn your bras just yet). Mrs Sedge claims to takemore than a passing interest in my all consuming passion for angling.

So, I put Debby to the ultimate test. I gave her 20 questions, each one with a multiple choice of four answers. How well did she do?Would she pass the test with flying colours? Or would she flopdismally? Only one way to find out. Let’s see how Mrs Sedge did whenshe was put in the spotlight.
