CHUB PARADISE AT FISHERS GREEN
Paul Garner and his 6.12 and 7.3 chub
Suffolk specialist and noted angling writer and consultant Dr Paul Garner has enjoyed a marvellous session on Fishers Green by banking the best brace of chub from the fishery so far this season.

Having made a couple of exploratory visits to the venue Paul settled upon a likely holding area and brought about the downfall of this pair of stunners, weighing in at 7lb 3oz and 6lb 12oz.

Paul fished a pellet hookbait in a PVA bag on a size 6 hook to a 6lb Wychwood fluorocarbon hooklength with a 1.5oz running lead and took both specimens within a couple of hours of each other.

With the Green in marvellous chub form the possibility of a specimen approaching the 8lb mark is not entirely out of the question before the end of the current season.
