In the book Des doesn’t just tell you the basic facts about the fishery, ie, where it is and what the rules are and the species in it, he also offers advice about the best way to fish the water and includes diagrams of pegs and rigs, etc.

It’s a good book and well worth the asking price of £ 6.95. I checked out the waters I know in the book and what Des said about them is spot-on.

As you would expect, there are slight differences in how we would tackle various waters but the basic information is sound. The coverage of the rivers Teme and Severn is excellent.

If you fish the Midlands you would be wise to part with your seven quid for this limited edition book that can put you wise to the waters you already know and onto many new waters to have a go at.
