HARDWICK LAKE
Cool North Winds and a frost this morning have slowed sport down but during a sunny spell Gavin Sutton from Essex encouraged the carp to feed off the surface and caught a mirror of 30.02 along with two commons of 22.08 and 20.10. Well done Gavin!
GAUNTS LAKE
Using Richworth Multiplex boilies on the bottom, martin Backer caught a 29.08 mirror at the weekend.
Mac, the bailiff also managed mirrors of 25lb and 15.06.
Fishing on the water today is Darren Ford from Bridgewater in Somerset who has caught a 31.08 mirror on Richworth Bio-Plex fished with small, pellet filled, PVA bags.
Fishing with Mike Wilmott’s Shellfish B5, Ivor Peachey caught a 31.04 mirror carp.
ST JOHNS LAKE
Chris Wrightson from Gloucestershire has caught a P.B mirror of 26.12, plus a 21.08 mirror and commons of 17.06 & 16.08. Chris is spodding particles and using the same for hook baits.
Newcastle’s, Jez Westgate fishing a 48 hour session on the water caught the fish of his dreams – ‘Cut Tail’ at exactly 40lbs. The big fish was weighed three times and verified by other anglers on the water. This beats Jez’s previous personal best by 18lb and was caught on Nash Squid and Liver Boilies fished over a bed of hemp and crushed boilies. During the session one other carp was caught of 12.06.
YEOMANS LAKE
Nick Bull From Salisbury is back on the water and so far has caught carp of 28.02, 28.10, 21.04 and 22.06.
