The magic date of June 16th (the first day of the new fishing season, to any uninitiated, non-anglers!) looms ever closer, and to put all of you worm-dangling fanatics into the right frame of mind, we invite you to another superb evening of amusing anecdotes, authentic advice, admirable photos, audience participation and, above all, good-natured banter and entertainment. Anyway, the next best thing to going fishing (if you are unable to actually get out there) is to get together with other anglers and talk about it!
To demonstrate this theory we have two of the greatest ‘talkers’ in the angling fraternity today: – adding his own unique and controversial style to the proceedings, Angling Times regular and successful all-round angler Des Taylor, a truly larger-than-life character, will be offering his thought-provoking views about this very diverse sport-from Cormorants to Carp Catching and from Sharks to Secret Bait Additives.
Trefor West is best known for his specialist approach and enviable dedication to the pursuit of specimen barbel and chub. Offering practical advice and professional tuition (he has accounted for and helped other anglers land some 425 barbel from 6 different rivers – at least 5 of which topped 13lb – up to the end of November last season). Trefor has developed his own range of specialist tackle, and aside from photographic evidence of his consistent success, he will also be bringing a selection of his ‘Double T’ range for sale, as well as a supply of special bait additives and powders.
Here is the perfect opportunity to have a one-to-one with a couple of the country’s top anglers, grab some valuable advice and put it to good use when you next ventureout to the waterside.
