| This new collection of designer sunglasses from Shimano is manufactured from the very best materials available, using top designers and leading specialised lens makers, to produce a range of angling sunglasses that is second to none. Featuring state of the art PP10 Polarized lenses, all glasses in the range offer superior UV (400) protection and fish detection, whatever the sun/glare factor. All frames are light, yet tough, and many are fitted with soft touch, non-toxic, hypo allergic temple tips and nose bridge components, making them easy to wear for hours on end without any discomfort. The Shimano Eye Protection range are safe, highly effective fish locators which can reduce eye strain/headaches, and are a major defence against accidental hook contact. The PP10 lens material is made of high quality base materials that are laminated to exacting optical standards, providing uniform thickness, shatter resistance and clarity. PP10 polarized lenses are made up of seven functional elements, meticulously bonded together, with a highly efficient polarizing light filter at their centre. This filter is unique in that it selectively absorbs horizontal reflected glare, which in turn enhances contrast and provides a more accurate reading of the viewed area by removing blinding glare. This is of particular benefit to the wearer, as it occurs instantly and automatically, meaning the eye can see deeper into the water and spot previously invisible fish and features with ease, even under the brightest of conditions. Frame Material Shimano have used hi-tech materials such as Grilamid to ensure that the frames of the Eye Protection range offer maximum performance. Grilamid, a rugged, resilient material has been specially formulated for flex and impact strength, which in practice means that the frames are both comfortable to wear, yet tough enough to cope with the rigours of outdoor use. All frames in the Eye Protection range offer a high degree of resistance to both breakage and impact, whilst affording excellent flex strength. Lens Cleaning Bag All models come complete with a soft drawstring carry case that doubles as a lens cleaning cloth. Temple Tips and Nose Bridge Many of the models feature silicone temple tips and nose bridges for optimum comfort.
