At the two-day Summer Tacklefest 2002 event the Environment Agency will be launching two new angling publications, “Angle 2002” and “Angle on the Broads”. This is the fourth edition of the very popular regional fishing magazine, as “Angle 2002” contains essential information for all anglers – from novice to expert.
For those interested in fishing the Broads in Norfolk, an invaluable guide has just been published by the Agency. “Angle on the Broads” provides anglers with comprehensive information to help them enjoy and appreciate the wonderful fishing opportunities the area has to offer. The magazine gives details of where to fish, what species to catch, codes of conduct, how to handle fish and great features on watercourses in the area. It has been produced as part of the Broads Fisheries Action Plan, a partnership between the Environment Agency, The Broads Authority and The Broads Angling Strategy Group.
The Environment Agency’s stand will be at the venue from 9am to 5.30pm each day, and Fisheries staff will be on hand to answer questions and offer advice. Further publications on fishing in the region, such as the Agency’s very popular three-volume “Angle Directory” will also be available at the event.
The Agency’s stand will also feature displays and exhibitions detailing the right and wrong ways to participate in and enjoy the nation’s favourite sporting pastime.
Dr Nigel Tomlinson, Regional Fisheries Development Officer, said: “We hope these free publications will encourage even more people to sample the joys of fishing. The guides contain comprehensive information that will help anglers of all abilities enjoy and appreciate the wonderful angling opportunities this region has to offer.”
