Kev Green and Thames Shark
With sharp teeth, superior senses and ferocious strategies for killing their prey, predatory fish are natural born killers. Fish such as the pike, shark and eel hone their staggering skills to detect the tiniest trace of blood or the slightest vibration to capture other fish, birds, small mammals and even humans.

Predators, a chilling ten part series for Discovery Home and Leisure, gets the lowdown on predatory fish, both in and out of the water. Learn how these bloodthirsty fish perfect their stealthy hunting and killing techniques with a deadly combination of lethal armoury and a vast array of weapons at their disposal.

Hosted by top angler Kevin Green, Predators gets in the water with the Blue Shark, Zander, Loch Pike, River Pike, Eels and Congers, Perch, Thames Sharks, Catfish, Chub and Sea Bass. With locations that range from Co. Kerry, Alderney, the Thames Estuary, Lake Windermere and the Severn River, Predators shows viewers which fish are the most bloodthirsty, which have the biggest teeth and deadliest jaws.

Kevin Green is a skilled angler and understands that by gaining further knowledge on how predatory fish hunt, kill and feed, he is more likely to catch them. Joined by scientist Simon Scott and ten noted experts who know their respective fish inside out, Predators is a must-see series for fishing fans who want to know what bait to use and where to fish if they want to catch some of the deadliest marine life there is in the UK.

Chub for James Cramery
From catching the deadly deep water Blue Shark off West Ireland to capturing the brutal Zander from a boat in the Severn, this series features gruesome underwater shots and astounding record catch footage. Watch as the majestic shark emerges from the gloom of the deep into the full view of the underwater camera and seizes Kevins’s whole mackerel bait! Viewers see the vicious predator fight to escape a few inches from the camera, leaving no doubt as to its magnificent power and grace.

Kevin says, “This is a series that explores the hunting instincts of Britain’s most predatory fish. Guided by experts who have dedicated their angling lives to the pursuit of fish-eating species, the viewer is provided with a unique insight into the underwater world where predators and prey are embroiled in a 24-hour fight for survival. Using this key information I was lead on a remarkable journey of anglingexploration and learned the necessary skills to use the blood thirsty tendencies of a predatory species against it. Only by understanding how a fish kills can you ensure the predator becomes the prey.”

Predators shows the gripping battle of wits between ‘Kevin the angler’, his ‘tutor’, the ‘Predator’ and the ‘Prey’. Skill will determine which of them gets a fight or a meal … or escapes becoming one!
