Ashley David who comes from Nottingham fished mid-water with NRG boilies to catch a mirror of 25.08.
David Allsopp from Tamworth who is a disabled angler fished a boilie on the hook with chopped boilies as free offerings to tempt a mirror carp of 23.08. This was Davids first visit to the water. Also on his first visit is Steve Russell from Kent who fished Richworth Multi-Plex boilies along with the Dynamite Bait stick to catch a personal best mirror of 25.14.
Liam Brown a warehouseman from Harlow paid his first visit to the water and was rewarded with the catch of a 24.08 mirror carp. Liam used Lee Valley boilies as single hook-baits.
Trainee accountant Martin Evans from Leighton Buzzard fished particles over spodded pellets at 70 yards to catch mirrors of 28.02, 23.06 and a 15lb common.
Policeman, Matt Bowers, fished with NRG boilies to catch mirrors of 31.10, 28.10, four doubles and a 9lb tench. Matt fished the NRG boilies along with broken boilies in PVA bags at 45-50 yards.
Bedfordshire’s Andy Horne fished a single strawberry cream pop-up to catch a bream of 15.06. The bream is a new lake record.
During a Saturday night to Sunday morning session, Lee Oldfield from Bristol caught eleven carp included in his catch were mirrors of 22.12, 21.08, three over 17lbs and two commons over 18lb. The successful bait was Richworth Bio-Plex. HARDWICK LAKE
Karl Harman from Dorset fished particle hook baits over spodded pellets to catch two mirrors of 28.08 and 22.12 and a common of 22lb.
Paul Wright caught a linear mirror of 24.04.
On a 24 hour session, Iain MacMillan, a JCB operator from Stoke on Trent caught a 35.08 mirror, a 20.04 fully scaled mirror and two doubles. Iain fished Heathrow Bait Services Pineapple pop-ups at 70 yards over spodded hemp and pellets and the big mirror was a UK personal best.
Bryan Jarrett from Hinders of Swindon caught a 19.06 and a 12lb mirror using Terry Hearn’s ‘The Source’ boilies fished snowman rig style.
Steve Pullee an IT consultant from Evesham fished particles over spodded pellets to catch a commons of 31.02 and 16.09. The big common is a new thirty for the water.
Harrow’s Kirk Raper’ spodded hemp and pellet and used particles on the hook to catch a 29.10 mirror and a double. Karl Pashley from Bedfordshire fished the same style to catch mirrors of 36.04 and 16lb.. Karl’s 36.04 is the same fish that Nick Helleur caught last year at 33.01 and which is featured on page 20 of the Linear brochure.
Iam MacMillan fished pineapple pop-up boilies from Heathrow Bait Services to catch a mirror of 32.08.
MANOR FARM LAKE
‘Plug’ fished the River bank to catch a mirror of 24.02.
On his first visit to the water, Matthew Goodwin from Gillingham caught a mirror of 28lb. The fish was caught on maize and is a PB for Matthew.
UNITY LAKE
Fishing boilies over spodded pellet at 75 yards found the carp for Ivor Peachy who ended his session with three mirrors of 23.04, 24.04 and 16.06 plus a ghost carp of 20.01.
Bailiff ‘Mac’ McCarthy has caught three tench to 9lb and a 22.08 mirror carp.School teacher, John Howard from Redditch has caught a 21.04 mirror on tails Up Protavit Liver boilies.
GAUNTS LAKE
Nigel Barnes has caught two mirrors of 22lb and 18.01 plus a 14lb common. Nigel fished Richworth Bio-Plex boilies over hemp and chopped tigers.
OXLEASE LAKE
Salisbury’s, Mark Davis fished fluoro pop-ups to catch mirrors of 21.13, 20.08 and six doubles – four of the doubles were over 19lb.
On his first visit to the water, Rick Turner, a photographer from Stockport caught mirror carp of 21.02 and 18lb using fluoro pop-ups over pellets.
Also on their first visits are Peter Breeze from Essex and Gordon Goodwin from Stoke. Peter, a landscape gardener, caught mirrors of 19lb and 18.02 on Active 8 boilie hook-baits fished with broken boilies in PVA bags. Gordon fished homemade boilies at 60 yards to tempt a 21lb mirror.
Thirteen year old Alex Hyde from Carterton, Oxford fished single fluoro pop-ups to catch a personal best carp of 23.04. Alex was over the moon with the big mirror.
Peter Breeze managed another three carp before he left the water. These were mirrors of 18lb, 19lb and 23lb. Peter fished Activ8 boilies over pellet and hemp.
