The Riverview motel is ideally situated alongside the St. Lawrence river in upstate New York. Nestled in 20 acres of beautiful woodland the motel boasts 12 rooms and six cabins which provide a comfortable haven where you can rest your body after enjoying some of the many activites that are available.
The motel also has an on site tackle store providing tackle for many species and also hires out tackle by the day or week. This may sees the opening of their on site bar and restaurant where you can enjoy an early breakfast or exchange stories over a cool beer in the evenings. The St. Lawrence river holds a huge head of carp and many anglers return year after year to try and tame these hard fighting fish. It is not unusual to catch 15 to 20 fish a day with weights from 15lb to 40lb (the average being about 20lb). The stretch that runs past the motel is rapidly becoming the carp capital of the world – in fact the world championships are being held there this year. You do not have to be tied down to one area as sometimes happens, you can fish virtually anywhere you fancy day or night and you can use two rods some days, though you may have to bring one rod in when the action really hots up!
