Advanced Professional Game Angling Instructors Glyn Freeman and Clive Mitchelhill in association with Professional Anglers Association Coach Chris Bowman bring you the complete grayling anglers tuition day. If you have never tried fishing for grayling or merely wish to learn more about the attractive and hard fighting ‘Lady of the Stream’ these days are for you.

Learn about the life history of the grayling, its diet and feeding behaviour. Identify some of its food items during the entomology session and learn how to imitate them during the fly tying session. Try fly fishing as well as bait fishing techniques including wet fly and Czech nymphing as well as trotting and legering for grayling on an exclusive private stretch of Cumbria’s river Eden with expert supervision and all tackle, flies and bait provided. Casting tuition will also be available if required.

We have exclusive use of the beat and fishing hut on the day which runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and costs £ 55 per person.

Both Clive Mitchelhill and Glyn Freeman hold the Salmon and Trout Association National Instructors Certificate (STANIC) and the Association of Professional Game Anglers Instructors Certificate (APGAI).
