Carp Society Winter Show 2003
Sandown Park 29 / 30 November 2003
Forums and Slide shows
In addition to the unrivalled displays of carp bait and tackle throughout the Sandown arena there will be four main events on both the Saturday and Sunday in the DHP theatre area.
To kick off proceedings, at around 10.30am there will be a discussion forum where Derek Ritchie, Ian Chilcott, Jim Shelley and Nick Helleur will be discussing the tricky subject of rigs. With close-up camera equipment and plasma screens to show the rigs they are talking about, and how they tie them, you can’t fail to learn something new.
At midday Dave Lane will be entering the fray, giving a slide show that really shouldn’t be missed – detailing how he caught his latest 50-pounder from a Cambridgeshire syndicate water.
Then at 2pm, we’ll be having our second forum of the day. Here the team will be talking about big carp and how you go about catching them.
Finally, starting at 3.30pm, Lee Jackson will be giving a slide show on the years he spent at Conningbrook trying to catch the mirror known as Two Tone. As we all know, he caught the fish in the end at a British record weight. This will be the story of how he did it.
Tickets are available on the door or for advanced tickets and further details call the Carp Society on 01367 253959
