Although a little heavier than normal due to the frame I like this Compact Ruckbox. It stands at the side of your chair, with the tray in position, and all your bits and pieces readily at hand. Yet the zipped panel still allows good access to the main compartment without disturbing the tray.
Plenty of pockets both inside and out give good capacity, it’s fully waterproof, and the feet keep the base out of all but the deepest mud and gunge.
It’s well made too, with the stitching withstanding the heavy load it can carry, and the double zips making all the pockets easily accessible.
It won’t suit the roving river angler who likes to travel as light as possible but it will certainly suit the angler who prefers to settle in one spot, either on river or stillwater, and have all his tackle to hand.
