In the early hours of this morning Mark Ayliffe from Bedfordshire caught a mirror carp of spot on 30lbs. Mark fished Hauler pop-ups over a spod mix at 40 yards range.
Nottinghams Brian Fallon caught a Simmo stock fish weighing 28.09 when he fished Mainlines M8 Boilies at 45 yards.
HARDWICK LAKE
Carterton’s Don Spalding found the carp feeding despite the cold conditions. Fishing Richworth Com-Plex Boilies along with Richworth Pellets in PVA bags at 60 yards Don caught mirrors of 20lb and 21.08.
John Harris from Wantage fished a popped up herring at 25 yards to catch a pike of 26lb.
Nige Williams continued to enjoy his pike session with another fine fish of 27.12. This fish fell to free roving dead roach
MANOR FARM LAKE
Stuart Mead from Coventry fished Nash Sting Boilies at 70 yards range to catch a linear scaled mirror of 33lb.
OXLEASE LAKE
Alan Cuthbertson from South Staffs who paid a first visit to the water caught three double figure mirrors by fishing single strawberry cream pop-ups at 50 yards range.
Young Jamie Piekielniak from Oxfordshire enjoyed what was left of his half term holiday by catching mirrors of 25.08 and 16.08. Jamie fished pineapple pop-ups with the stick rig at 80 yards range.
Vic Hinmarch from Oxfordshire only had one run and one fish when he fished a 24 hour session on the water. But what a fish! The carp, a common weighed in at 35.12 and not only was it a PB for Vic it was also a new Oxlease Lake Record. Vic whose previous PB was 22lb fished with Terry Hearne The Source Boilies along with pellets in a PVA bag that had been dipped in liquid source. Range was 50 yards.
Bromsgrove’s John Worton fished particle hook baits along with pellets in PVA bags at 60 yards to catch six double figure carp.
Fishing particles over spodded pellets at 50 yards, Mark Chamberlain from Southall Middx caught a mirror of 25.02.
Fishing with single hook baits – The Carp Companies OPM Boilies at 80 yards, Paul Bolton caught four double figure mirrors and a nice fish of 29.04.
