Many of us who go fishing love cricket, it’s great to listen to on the radio as we fish and while away those biteless hours. And it’s even better to watch when we get home. I watched most of the Ashes series earlier this year, either live or recorded when I got home, but inevitably I missed a few hours for one reason or another. So these DVDs have filled the gap, and anyway, it’s been nice to relive it again, one of our greatest victories against the Aussies who previously thought they were invincible. It’s been more than 16 years since we last lifted the Ashes. The three DVD set has more than eight hours viewing time of the highlights from all five tests. All the greatest moments are included from Andrew ‘Freddie’ Flintoff’s heroics and Shane Warne’s mesmerising bowling to Vaughan’s impressive captaincy and Pietersen’s flamboyant maiden test century in the tension-filled climax at the Oval.
