Mallory Memorial

Mallory Park Fisheries in Leicestershire is once again running an Ivan Marks Memorial event with money raised going towards an Ivan Marks fund, and we’re giving you an early heads up before it appears in the angling Press.

The memorial takes place over two days and as last year the idea is that anglers of all standards take part.

Anglers will be fishing both The Glebe and Foundation Lake at Mallory Park, which are opening especially for the event.

The dates for the diary are Saturday May 20th and Sunday 21st – that’s the weekend before the Glebe Festival so you can get a bit of sneaky practice in! To enter, please send a cheque for £ 20 made out to the ‘Ivan Marks Memorial Fund’ and send it along with a stamped addressed envelope and a preference of what day you’d like to fish to:

Match Catch, 14 The Green, Syston, Leicester, LE7 1HQ.

The angler who weighs in the most over the two days will take home the special Ivan Marks Trophy won last year by Alec Bones. The trophy is over 45 years old and is the first major trophy Ivan won.
