This superfine braid, when wet could easily be confused for a piece of silkweed by any feeding carp. Braided to produce a slow sinking, low diameter hook link, which will be extremely difficult for the carp to detect, Mega Silk is the ideal choice for the perfect presentation of small particle baits and other finely tuned rigs.

| On testing this in 10lb I found the diameter to be a very thin at 0.08mm and the 12lb was only 0.11mm. It is an excellent line that knots really well and does look like a length of filamentous weed laying in the water. Over the past months I’ve grown very confident in this hooklink material, especially for barbel. I even use it in longer than normal hooklinks, 2 feet and more, and I am quite convinced that it does not spook the fish. As I would have expected. so far I have not had one breakage at the knot or elsewhere in the line. If I don’t need a stiff or coated material this is now my first choice of hooklink. |
