Do you dream of that monster carp sipping in a piece of floating crust just as the sun is setting on a stunning lake, unchanged since the time of the saints? From the rugged coastline, up blue green estuaries and green wide, winding valleys, past rich lowland lakes, along bubbling mountain streams to lonely hill lakes, Wales has it all. All this less than two hours drive away. No need for ferries, flights or passports, just bring your dreams to be fulfilled.
Wales is not big, it’s not far away, we speak your language and our own occasionally. We have lots of water, lots and lots of water in fact and most of it abounds with fish. The coarse angler can roam the banks of famous rivers, fooling barbel or chub and grayling. For a fly fisherman, there are more places to cast than you’ll manage in a lifetime, in stillwater or river. The sea angler is spoilt for choice; 750 miles of coastline, most of it west facing and screaming bass. Boat fishing for tope and other shark of legendary size. Fisheries that are shrouded in the mists of time will fulfil the wishes of many a carp addict.
