Korum PVA System | |

OverviewMost specialist and carp anglers are now familiar with PVA, its uses, and the edge it can give them in some fishing scenarios so I won’t go into too much detail about its actual use. What I did want to say about the Korum system is that, like every other product they bring out, it is the attention to detail, no matter how small or large the product, that makes it special. With a lot of PVA mesh type products you need to buy the funnel, plunger and certainly a long baiting needle (for producing PVA sticks) separately, but not so with Korum, their contribution to the PVA market contains all you need for fast, easy construction of mesh PVA bags. The tube itself has a funnel shaped top to assist in easy loading with the bottom having a shaped end to stop the mesh from sliding off during filling. Again, it is this attention to detail which stands out. An added bonus is the whole lot comes in a neat waterproof case (with a secured, impossible to lose lid!) to house them in. The system is absolutely ideal to slip in that rucksack side pocket to be dug out whenever required without any fear of the mesh being waterlogged and ruined. I’m no PVA guru but the specification says the low residue, fast melt, anti-ladder mesh is of the highest quality and I have no reason to doubt that. What I can confirm is that it doesn’t split, ladder or burst when making sticks or bags and experiments in the margins have shown it does dissolve pretty quickly, even in winter with a lovely ‘burst’ of its contents. To ensure best value is received from the package once the mesh has been used refill PVA is available in both Narrow and Standard diameters which come in both a Standard and Ultra Fine Micro Mesh. These refills themselves come in a waterproof tube, so these too can be left in the side pocket or bottom of the rucksack and pulled out when needed. Details of both this and further products can be seen on the Korum website at www.korum.co.uk
