Classic brand honoured with Limited Edition timepiece. For years, Hardy has been renowned as a manufacturer of the finest fishing tackle in the world – a name synonymous with quality and excellence. To celebrate this enviable angling heritage, Hardy has partnered with British sports watch manufacturer Nite to produce a Limited Edition timepiece in honour of one of it’s most famous names – the Marquis. Strictly limited to 500 individually numbered pieces, the Hardy Marquis SX10 features a Swiss-made, Swiss-parts movement, solid stainless steel case and elegant, waterproof leather strap. The SX10 follows the Hardy ethos of quality, performance and value for money whilst mirroring the classic design of the Marquis reel on the dial. In line with Hardy’s record of innovation, each watch is fitted with fourteen GTLS (Gaseous Tritium Light Source) self-powered lamps to ensure easy reading in any light condition. At a depth of only 7mm, the Hardy Marquis SX10 is the world’s thinnest watch to feature this technology. Commenting on the launch, Roger Green, Managing Director of Nite says “We understand and respect the reputation of the Hardy brand and were delighted when Hardy invited us to design a watch to commemorate the Marquis. We have taken great care to create a timepiece that is worthy of the Marquis name and one that Hardy customers will be proud to wear”. The Limited Edition Hardy Marquis SX10 will be released on 1st March 2008 priced at £ 200 and is expected to sell-out extremely quickly with pre-orders available from 1st November 2007. Consumers can view full product information and pre-order one of the watches at www.nitewatches.com/hardy. The site will be updated with details on which unique serial numbers are available, allowing customers to select their chosen timepiece.
