The Organisers of the World Carp Classic are delighted to announce that FishingMagic is to become a media partner of this year’s event. There has been huge interest in the World Carp Classic following the record breaking event last year and this created a rush for places. The event sold out in 5 weeks with 260 happy anglers from over 20 countries snapping up the places. A further 600 plus were unfortunate and plans are in place for 2010 to address this. Lac de Madine in North West France will again stage the event with anglers competing for the increased prize table of £ 70,000. “FishingMagic has a huge number of visitors to the site and with the ever-growing interest in carp angling and the World Carp Classic there is a natural fit. The event is now going into its 11th year and having just launched our new interactive website www.worldcarpclassic.com the timing is perfect to establish the relationship with the biggest angling website in the UK. There are lots of new developments that we have in store for the coming years and we look forward to establishing a long lasting relationship with FishingMagic”, said Ross Honey, Event founder of the World Carp Classic. Richard Hewitt, Chairman of Fish and Fly Ltd, owners of FishingMagic added, “Following our recent acquisition of FishingMagic from Magicalia Ltd we are delighted to have reached agreement with Ross Honey and his team to become media partners of the World Carp Classic, an event that is growing in stature year by year. Our membership is growing rapidly and is currently over 57,000 strong with carp fishing forming a very important element of this and also of the content of our site www.fishingmagic.com and its associated forums.” |
