A press release from Hardy & Greys:
“Well known angler, and current Greys and Chub Carp Academy Manager, Ed Betteridge, has been announced as the new carp marketing manager in light of Andy Charlton stepping down from the position.
Ed has been a consultant for Greys and Chub for three years and has taken on an increasing work load in that time. He is a successful big fish angler and has landed seven Carp over 44lb, his current PB a 49lb 12oz mirror known as ‘Choco’ that was banked after a three-year quest on Stoneacres. Ed is also a well known angling writer and a fully qualified Level 2 Angling Coach. He has appeared on Sky Sports Television as well as performing blogs on his own YouTube Channel.
Andy Charlton, current carp, coarse and predator marketing manager, is leaving the company to concentrate on parent duties and commented:
“I worked with Ed for all of 2012 and he was an obvious choice to take up the role when I announced I was leaving. Ed possesses a single-minded approach that gets the job done, and his wealth of angling knowledge is exceptional. I have no doubt he’ll do a brilliant job as carp marketing manager.”
