The Carp and Coarse Fishing Spectacular Show will take centre stage in the Jaguar Exhibition Hall in the Ricoh Arena, between 9am and 4pm on Saturday February 16 and from 9am to 3pm on Sunday February 17.
Celebrities and angling stars such as four-time angling world champion Bob Nudd and top carp anglers Simeon Bond, Shaun Harrison and Pete Castle will be giving talks in the theatre rooms or mingling on exhibitor stands to discuss the newest products on the market.
Eighty exhibitors ranging from the country’s largest retailers to bespoke smaller manufacturers have signed-up for the show with some booking their biggest ever stands at a coarse and carp event and organiser Lee Apps from Redwood Events said there would be a wide range of talks and demonstrations for anglers of all ages and abilities.
Lee commented:
“Once again this will be a Who’s Who of the angling world and the fact this is free entry to a high quality show is certain to attract thousands of visitors over the two days.
There will be masses of informative talks from well-known anglers as well as demonstrations, slideshows and free goody bags give-aways. We are always keen to encourage the next generation of anglers too which is one of the reasons why limited free bait will be given to children at the Ace Baits stand on a first come, first served basis.
There is plenty to do and see and everyone will go away having learned something new from the manufacturers present who will be showcasing their new tackle and tactics. This will be a great day out for carp fishers, coarse fishers or those who enjoy both.”
Chris Owen, senior events manager at the Ricoh Arena, said around 8,500 visitors had come to the inaugural show in 2012.
He said:
“Last year, visitors were queuing round the stadium so I would advise people to arrive early to make the most of the event. Parking and admission are free and this is one of the highlights on the events calendar for those who love angling.
The show will be held over 4,000 sqm and we are expecting the Jaguar Exhibition Hall to be buzzing with all the latest news and product information from the fishing world.”
