The Under 23 World Championship is due to be staged at Assen in the Netherlands from 25 to 26 July 2014, and a team is required to represent Drennan Team England
Where and when
The Angling Trust Drennan Team England youth assessment will take place on Saturday 12 April on the Gloucester Canal and applicants must have been under 23 years of age on 31 December 2013 to apply.
All competitors will be fishing to full international rules, which are available on the FIPSed website HERE
This is a pole only assessment and anglers will be expected to work two lines: the 5-6m line and a full 13m line. Bait limits for the assessment will be: 1 pint joker, hooker and bloodworm, ½ pint pinkies, ½ pint maggots, ½ pint casters, ½ pint worms and 15 litres of groundbait and leam.
How to apply
Anyone wishing to apply for the assessment trial must complete an England youth assessment trial form by contacting Sandra Drew, Competitions & Events Manager at the Angling Trust on email: sandra.drew@anglingtrust.net, or by telephone on 0115 9061 301/7.
Completed forms must be returned by no later than 1st April 2014 and it is noted that application forms have automatically been sent to anyone who applied for the assessment trial last year
