Rain, rain and more rain is what we can expect in the near future, but too much rain and we’ll all have to take up boat fishing.
Luckily, we can get prior warning of where the problems are from the environment agency’s website, which gives a detailed list of rivers that are still subject to flood warnings. If you’re still unsure you can also call their 24 hour Floodline 0845 9881188.
The rivers that were still subject to Flood Warning at 12.00pm on Sunday 11th February were:
* River Ouse in York between Clifton Bridge and Fulford, between Ouse Bridge and Bishopsthrope, and at Naburn, Naburn Lock and between Cawood and Kelfield Ings
* River Avon, Warwickshire from Evesham to upstream of Tewkesbury
* River Severn upstream of Gloucester including tidal reaches at Gloucester
* River Nene, Cambridgeshire from Thorney to Whittlesey and at North Bank Road in Peterborough during tide lock
* Hundred Foot Washes, Cambs at Welney Causeway
* River Great Ouse, Cambs at Earith Causeway
* Rivers Little Ouse and Thet, Norfolk/Suffolk between Thetford and Brandon
* River Thames from Benson to Hurley, Hurley to Maidenhead, Maidenhead to Windsor and Windsor to Teddington
* River Colne, Radlett Brook, Tykeswater, Hilfield Brook and River Hartsbourne from North Mimms to Maple Cross
* River Colne, Frays River and Wraysbury River from Maple Cross to Staines
* Colne Brook and Poyle Channel from Uxbridge to Staines
* River Great Stour, Kent from Ashford to Fordwich
* Coombe Haven, Sussex
