Forty anglers took part in what was to be a marathon fishing session, organised by Maggotdrowning.com, from 8.00am Saturday morning until Sunday afternoon with prizes being offered for the captors of the largest fish.
The event was in support of ‘Macmillan Cancer Relief’ and ‘The British Disabled Angling Association’ and took place during the weekend of 2nd-3rd August, at Elvington Lake, Nr York.
The total raised over the course of the weekend was £ 7,239.74
Which means once the amount is verified as correct and the outstanding amounts realised, we will have raised:
£ 5,791.79 for Macmillan Cancer Relief, &
£ 1,447.95 for The British Disabled Angling Association
