Fisheries and clubs: Please ask to see a rod licenceThe Angling Trust is appealing to clubs and commercial fisheries to help ensure anglers contribute to protecting fisheries by making it a requirement of fishing on your waters that members and day ticket customers have a valid rod licence to fish. One of the most common complaints we hear from anglers is that they don’t get their licence checked and so they know people are getting away with fishing without a licence. If every club and fishery joined in, we could stamp out rod licence evasion and generate millions more to spend on fisheries within the Environment Agency. If you need advice about how to do this, please download a factsheet which contains the correct wording for your rules. |

The role is voluntary although travel expenses can be claimed. |
