Following the success of the first meeting, held in Bexhill, the Trust are keen to move quickly to act on some of the suggestions made and ask Sussex anglers to join them at Littlehampton Sea Angling Club to meet like minded anglers, discuss sea angling in West Sussex and find out how to get involved in the Angling Trust’s work supporting sea angling in Sussex.
David Mitchell, the AT’s Marine Campaigns Manager said:
“Two clear messages came out of last November’s meeting in Bexhill: the lack of juniors entering the sport and becoming the next generation of sea anglers and the impact of inshore commercial fishing on sea angling. We hope this meeting in Littlehampton will give us a better understanding of what is important to sea anglers in West Sussex.”
