Designed on commercials Kult Carp is a sweet fishmeal groundbait containing the highly attractive, and effective, GPS90 grade fishmeal with the addition of a molasses sweetener which gives the mix a typically ‘dense’ and treacly aroma.
Also discernible to the senses is what Bait-Tech describes as, ‘a secret sweet herb that carp love’. Whatever that may be, the end result is a unique and highly distinctive fishmeal mix straight out of the bag without the need to add anything to it – although we found a good shake of dried chilli flakes complemented it beautifully!
Being predominantly fishmeal-based Kult made for a great method mix, binding beautifully on both cages and flat bed feeders and it held copious amounts of particles without breaking up if you were looking to feed rather than just attract. Without feed items incorporated mixed just a tad on the dry side it produced a nice fluffy mix with a very rapid breakdown which produced a lovely cloud of attraction around the feeder.
Kult is proven to be a magnet to carp and F1s with an added bonus of being a fabulous skimmer mix and although there weren’t any F1’s on the water we put it through its paces on the carp certainly homed in on it quickly and, unsurprisingly given that the fishmeal and molasses combo is one of the best for bream, the slabs got on it quickly too; in fact we would go so far as to say it is one of the best ‘straight out of the bag’ bream groundbaits we have seen.
Like most of the Bait-Tech groundbaits we have looked at thus far Kult Carp is an all-rounder that mixes both well and easily – and the mixing instructions on the packet are excellent and very comprehensive – and it’s one which can be pressed into most uses from balling and cupping to stick mixes and sloppy spodding.
