The Ballybay Tourism Association has invited Leisure Angling to promote and organise the 2001 five-day June Festival to be held on five different waters around this popular town. Leisure Angling are the sole selling agents.
Fishing takes place Monday to Friday based on total weight with each angler dropping his poorest result. There will be daily section and overall prizes and the top six festival winners.
All entry fees (IR£ 80) and optional pools (IR£ 50) will be return in cash prizes, plus local sponsorship which last year amounted to more than £ 500.
So with an expected 75 match fisherman the total payout will be in excess of IR£ 10,000.
The five match fishing days will be from Monday-Friday, June 4-8.
