Mark Neal used a Frank Warwick pineapple pop-up boilie to take the British record bream weight another notch higher at 18lb 15oz 8dr.

He was fishing for carp on Colney Lakes, part of Norfolk’s Bawburgh complex, the same lake that produced the current record. He moved to the other side of the lake following a blank night and caught the fish at 90yds range.

Mark’s bream is the same fish that equalled the current record at 18lb 8oz when it was caught a few weeks ago. It is his first double-figure bream.

More details and a picture of the fish in this week’s Angling Times.
