Angling Times this week reveals pictures of what is being claimed as Britain’s first 6 lb perch.
The photograph was in the possession of Peter Stone and was passed to long time friend John Everard after Peter’s death.
Little is known about the person holding the fish or the details of the weighing, but it is believed to have been netted and introduced into a popular Midlands water.
