Many of you will have read Malc Bason’s account of his trip to Vaumigny in the Loire valley. I had originally written an article detailing my long weekend at this lake as a precursor to Malc’s trip. However due to Graham’s filing system throwing a wobbler it disappeared into cyber space. So it was with some surprise, four months later, to receive an email from Graham asking me to rewrite it taking in to account Malc and co’s adventures. So here we are, several months after my trip enjoying(?) another British summer.

I have been fishing in France every year for the last 15 or so years. I speak French reasonably well without being totally fluent.
