SUTTON AT HONE
Pete Firmager enjoyed an excellent week of fishing to take three fish including the Peach Common at a new top weight of 35lb 12oz.
The Peach Common had not been out for almost a year.
Pete also tempted the big mirror known as Blind Eye which has been netted several times this season.
Blind Eye dropped down to around the 36lb mark earlier in the season following heavy spawning but is now creeping up to her usual weight for the time of year with Pete weighing her in at 39lb 7oz.
To complete a memorable session Hextable angler Pete also took a common carp of 27lb 10oz.
HORTON CHURCH LAKE
Pete ‘The Painter’ Bond took the big mirror known as Parrot at a weight of 44lb from the Heart Tail swim to crown an excellent season which started in style with his long awaited capture of Bazil from the North Lake at Nutrabaits Yateley.
Simon Davey has also continued his excellent run of form on the venue with four of the stockies including fish of 24lb 6oz. and 25lb. The first of the Horton stock fish look like they will be making 30lb by this time next year.
CRAYFISH POOL
Gary Harrow is having an exceptional season on the Crayfish Pool tempting Lumpy at 30lb 8oz – the first time this fish has been captured in 10 years!
Gary has gone on to land the first 40lb fish from the water in the shape of Scar at 40lb 12oz.
