The match is limited to 40 anglers and will start at 10.00 on Saturday April 06 (following free bacon rolls on arrival) and finish at 16.00 on Sunday April 7, followed by a free BBQ.
The format of the match is slightly different to that of a conventional match and there are three prizes on offer:
The angler who catches the single heaviest carp will receive £500 and a £525 Farriers permit, the angler who catches the single heaviest tench will receive £300 and a £300 Horseshoe summer permit and the angler who catches the single heaviest rudd will receive a prize of £200 and a £300 Horseshoe summer permit.
The prize structure ensures that nobody is out of the running at any stage of the match and competitors could even win a prize with a last minute fish.
The match is open to anyone, you don’t have to be a Carp Society member or even a Society Passport holder, everyone is welcome to have a go and the cost of entry is £100 with entry forms are available from the Carp Society office on 01367 253959 or via the Carp Society website.
Nash Tackle are supporting the event and providing prizes to be included in a free raffle to be held during the BBQ at the end of the match.
