In praise of them that do

I've spent the greater part of my working life in some sort of representative capacity. In fact this predilection for speaking up on behalf my peers probably goes back even further.

Here's The Evidence…Martin Gay's 50lb Common Carp

The following article delivers - I like to think - evidence that's as good as it's going to get; the best possible evidence given the constraints both parties in this debacle must frustratingly work within. In this country's highest courts there is frequently a lack of irrefutable, concrete proof , and this, of course, is why we have a jury system. It is instructed to ignore personal preferences and emotions - only to make a judgement based on what is known (the facts) and the evidence. Do read the article IN FULL.

Martin Gay's 50lb English Common Carp: Closure.

In 1989 and 1990 the widely respected all-rounder, Martin Gay, hooked and landed a phenomenal catch of big common carp, topped by a fish he reported at 48lbs. He always insisted they were caught in England but the Carp Society denounced them as 'Canadian' because Martin had recently visited family in British Columbia. Fishing Magic readers are invited to form their own opinions based on the truthful evidence of the FM Editor, Cliff Hatton, and Essex angler, Eddie Benham.
