Fancy a chance to fish for some serious predators? Then here’s an exclusive opportunity for pike anglers to fish one of the best gravel pit predator fisheries in the south east, and to raise some funds for Macmillan Cancer Sport in the process.
Angling charity fundraisers Stoney and Friends have secured a weekend’s fishing on the prestigious Horton Church Lake on Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 January 2014. Usually only available to the syndicate members the Church Lake has produced pike in excess of 30lb in the past and it currently holds an excellent stock of doubles with fish to well over the 20lb mark.
Tickets for Saturday 18 January cost £25 with Sunday priced at £20 and a whole weekend ticket is available for £40, with all proceeds going to the charity. In addition to the fishing the organisers are also laying on food and drink for the weekend as part of the ticket price with tea / coffee and toast served from 06:30, sausage and bacon rolls at lunchtime and an evening meal in the on-site lodge from 18:30 onwards on the Saturday only.
With the future tenure of Church Lake uncertain this could be your last chance to fish the water for pike, so it’s well worth a visit. For more details contact organiser Allan Stone at: allan@stoneyandfriends.org.uk or you may download an application form from www.stoneyandfriends.org.uk
Inexperienced pike anglers are more than welcome to attend as there will be plenty of experienced support on hand.
