CHUB SNOOPER BAG On the lid there is a pocket that houses a small clear plastic tackle box. The box itself looks like a bit of an afterthought as you can see (photo A) it doesn’t fit hook packets, hook length spool and rig materials, or even scissors. However, the compartments sizes are adjustable thanks to removable dividers and some tackle like modest length floats, sinkers, feeders (photo B) can be stored. So it’s not a complete waste of time, but if you don’t want it, remove it and put a small stiff-rig wallet in its place. I can’t see that it’s an expensive item that’s added more than a few pence to the overall price. The main compartment is quite large and will store many other types of tackle box along with tubs of bait, a reel, towel and the usual accoutrements that anglers carry. To each side is a pocket of net material that can be used to store wet weigh slings perhaps or scales. The front bears another pocket, but inside this there is a zipped water resistant compartment for permits, licences and a Velcro fastened pocket for disgorgers, baiting needles, or forceps. Now to the bottom. This is a moulded EVA base that unzips and into which can be stored a maggot box and perhaps other bait bags and containers. Being EVA you can put into it a frozen chiller block to keep the bait cool in summer and after use, it can easily be sponged out (on the outside as well if it gets muddy). The fact that the base is a semi-rigid form means that even when the bag is under load it still retains its form. There are handgrips with a Velcro wrap and a padded, non-slip shoulder strap that can be detached if you prefer to use the handgrips only. The usual first class stitching and materials have been used as you would expect from Chub and the zips are very free running with chunky grips to help on the coldest of days. Recommended retail price for the bag is £ 31.25, but shop around from many of the advertisers on FISHINGmagic and you could find it for £ 24.99, making it a bargain! | ||||||
