**Realistic Reviews by Real Anglers**
I’ve recently been using this product on the rivers Dove and Ribble when barbel fishing. With the end of the fishnet knotted you pour in a quantity of feed such as hemp, pellets, maggots, casters or other particles. Anything in fact that is dry enough not to make a hole in the bag before you cast it!
Filling it is easy if you have one of the Gardner Baggits, a purpose designed PVA bag filler with a wide funnel neck. Otherwise it can be a bit awkward, although a piece of plastic tube with the PVA threaded on will help greatly too.
Once filled you knot it again, twice, and then cut between the two knots. The tube is then ready for the next filling.
All you need do then is hook it on and cast. Much better than loose feeding by hand or with a catapult, for the PVA bag of goodies goes down to the bottom where it has the greatest effect. Better than a baitdropper in those swims lying more than a rod’s length or so from the bank, and more effective than a swimfeeder where the fish are particularly shy, for it allows you to use a bomb, or freeline.
The bags break down in less than 20 seconds in summer water temperatures, which is ample time for the bag to reach bottom and settle before delivering the contents.
