Cray Clean-up Went Well

It was the first river clean for some of the 22 volunteers, though some were regular faces who show up on every activity.

the volunteers got kitted out and took note of the Health & safety brief before splitting into three groups to tackle the vast area.

Soon we had collected:
42 bin bags of litter
7 plastic drain pipes
1 scooter engine
6 pallets
100’s of beer cans, bottles, sweet wrappings and shopping bags.

The river was oozing fish, even as I worked in the dry suit, fish cruised around and below.

Had some, no, a lot of verbal from some groups taking in the rays and beer, some even chucked litter in as we cleaned.

Not much we can do about that.

Anyway, a great bunch of volunteers who put in some hard work on a very sticky day.
