Angling Times’ well known controversial columnist Des Taylor has parted company with Maver and taken on the mammoth task of selling Badger International tackle to tackle shops.
Des, head of Des Taylor Agencies, said, “Over the last two years Badger has supplied the public with tackle through mail order advertising only but demand has been so great that the company has decided to supply its products to a limited number of retail outlets.
Des Taylor Agencies have been offering a full wholesale service and spares backup for these shopssince 1st December.
Des intends to have a full van service within 12 months and has already invested in a warehouse facility.
“I guess it was inevitable that this would happen over the next few years anyway. Although Badger has done extremely well out of mail order there are always people who prefer to look at items in their own tackle shop rather than order them unseen as it were, and that is what they can now do with Badger.”
“The full range of Badger products are available and there are a lot of other items which are being planned for 2002, including match gear and poles.” Des said.
