Des Taylor’s been talking about it in his column in Angling Times for several weeks now, and AT’s editor Richard Lee has had more than a few words to say about it too.
Then the FISHINGmagic forum took a few shots at it, not very complimentary either, it must be said.
But when it comes down to it, nobody, and I mean NOBODY, can say what it’s like; good, bad or indifferent, until they’ve tried it.
So when Des rang me about something else I asked him, in Des-speak, what all the fuss was about.
“What’s all this ***** about this ******* ‘The Edge’ stuff Des?” Is it any good?”
“Good, it’s ******* brilliant. Why, what have the ***** been saying about me?”
Than followed a long conversation about the virtues of ‘The Edge’, including an invitation to go and do a test fishing with him, using ‘The Edge’, and ending with. “I’ll send you some, then you can try it for yourself.”
So that’s how I’ve ended up with a bottle of ‘The Edge’, which will be launched at the Go Fishing show at the NEC in March and it’ll cost £ 10.00 for 250g. It can be used as paste, boilie, an additive to any other bait, in groundbait, in a method mix, and sprinkled over any kind of bait like maggots, casters, etc.
But before then I’ll let you know what I think about it, and it’ll be an opinion based on using it where it matters: on a hook, and in groundbait and loose feed, and in a real fishing situation.
Keep your eye on the reviews section.
I’ll be back.
