Gary Bayes of Nashbait needs little in the way of introduction to most anglers, especially carp anglers, and for decades now he has produced innovative baits of a consistently high quality which have accounted for hundreds of thousands of fish captures all over the world.
The Fish Frenzy baits grew out of the main Nashbait range and was developed to cater more for the match, commercial carp and pleasure angler – although it didn’t take the specialists and big carp anglers long to cotton onto just how good they could be.
Unsurprisingly the range proved remarkably successful during 2011 and, with input from Peg One manager Paul Garner, has been expanded for 2012.
Squidgees were one of the outstanding successes of 2011; boilies and pellets soft enough to hook directly as well as to hair rig. The extended range will see a larger 10mm size added with the outstanding Monster Crab flavour available too.
Attraction without overfeeding is often important when fishing and the Fish Frenzy Soluballs and Chain Reaction baits are ideal in this respect. The 15mm Soluballs are boilie shaped and give a combination of hi attraction with a fast breakdown and the Chain Reaction baits give similar attraction but are pre-drilled so they can easily be incorporated onto hooklengths to give a concentrated area of attraction around the hookbait without the need for PVA.
The Nash team have also re-vamped the entire Fish Frenzy pellet range for 2012 too and the new versions are coarse feed pellets which have been impregnated with top Nashbait flavours. The range includes 6mm and 3mm pellets and an unflavoured 2mm version which can be soaked in water or flavour to give an ideal sticky pellet mix for the flatbed feeder. These smaller pellets have been designed to hold their shape and have a slow breakdown rate so they will cling to the feeder without coming off on splashdown to ensure they end up exactly where you want them.
Finally there is a new release of a classic Nashbait flavour in the shape of a Whiskey ‘Magic Mix’. Gary Bayes’ secret formula has taken a lot of big fish over the years and the Fish Frenzy version is designed for boosting groundbait, pellets and hookbaits such as corn, meat and maggots; pre-release results suggest it is going to find favour with the commercial match lads as it is already winning a lot of matches.
