Report for week ending 13th September 2001
Foremark regular Mr Paul Walker took the weeks biggest fish, a 7 lb 2 oz Rainbow, from the Aerators. He was fishing from a boat using an Ace of Spades lure and took 8 fish and returned a further 6 under the ‘catch and release’ scheme.
Another Foremark regular, Mick Pearce took 8 fish for a total weight of 28lbs with fish of 6lbs, three at 4lb 2oz, 3lbs and two at 2lb.
Mr R Hillam took a 6lb 2oz Rainbow off the Dam Wall near to the valve tower using an Orange Booby.
Fishing this week has been very successful using a wide variety of patterns and techniques, from Daddy Long Legs and Sedge patterns on dry lines to Booby and Ace of Spades lures on sinking lines.
The Aerators are still providing an abundance of fish for the boat anglers whilst the bank anglers have found excellent sport along the dam wall on Verduns Point and through Flamingo Bay.
The Gorse Bush area has also fished very well for both boat and bank anglers alike.
